Junction Festival Playlounge project is getting going! Junction Festival have devised the Playlounge project which will furnish and decorate the Junction @Chadwick’s café area with children and parent friendly objects, seating and other playful features. Facilitated by artist Brigid Teehan, who has vast experience of working with community groups, the project aims to explore the world of childhood with parents of small children. Two sessions have already taken place where participants looked at a variety of examples of artistic ‘playspaces’ and started exploring a few ideas. These sessions will continue in Clonmel every Thursday from 7.30 to 9.30 throughout the Spring till the Junction Festival’s opening on the 4th July. Parents of small children interested in taking part in this project are invited to register their interest; there is a € 5 charge per session to cover materials and other expenses.
