Artist Brigid Teehan in tandem with participation director Theresia Guschlbauer have chosen “ If you go down to the woods today…” as this year’s theme and it is planned to build a large tree as the central feature of this year’s space, which once again will be based in the Old Chadwick’s building on Queen street. The two arts practitioners are looking for enthusiastic makers, seamstresses, painters, stitchers, doers and just plain curious people to come and help with the designing, construction and dressing of this ambitious project.
Sessions will start in Late March/early April and will run from approx. 7.30 to 10 o’clock on weeknights (teabreak included). We will start with a few art-making sessions, then move on to brainstorming around design ideas and then start the making and building proper. Participation in the project is free with a suggested donation of €3 to €5 towards materials and teas.
