Visual Emotion, an exhibition chronicling the 40-year career of Clonmel photographer, John D. Kelly, has been extended in the Tipperary Museum of Hidden History until the New Year!
Visual Emotion has been one of the highlights of our 2024 festival and it has been amazing to see so many people travel far and wide to view the exhibition over the past few months. Having the exhibition open until January 2025 gives those travelling home for Christmas the perfect opportunity to view this amazing exhibition over the festive season.
About the exhibition
John D. Kelly is an award-winning photographer of 40 years with the classic photography career (from film to digital, from permanent job to freelance, from darkroom to the cloud) of this period. He works for the Nationalist Newspaper, and has been the official photographer of Clonmel Junction Festival from the beginning and of Kilkenny Arts Festival over the past 10 years.
For this exhibition, John has worked with curator Kate Horgan to evolve the strands and themes, as well as selecting the images that highlight the significant photosJohn has captured throughout his career.
