Collaborating, Creating, Connecting

Clonmel Junction Arts Festival is an annual 10-day multi-disciplinary arts festival set in Clonmel, Tipperary’s largest town. Connecting artists and audiences since 2001, CJAF has evolved into a vibrant arts platform, offering opportunities to local, national and international artists to collaborate and create work by, about and for the people of Clonmel and its visitors.

Our theme for 2025 is ‘Encounters’, bringing people together at the junction of art and offering a variety of interpretations and experiences.

The theme celebrates the interactions and connections at the heart of festival-making, encouraging creativity, collaboration, and engagement with both the artistic community in different artistic disciplines and the audience.

As a multidisciplinary festival, CJAF offers a programme bursting with music, dance, visual arts, film, theatre, workshops, literary events as well as a lively community engagement.

Involving and encouraging visitors and the local community to participate in a wide variety of arts is key to the festival. Our packed programme of events really will have something for everyone. We place great importance on inclusivity, ensuring that many events are free and some have special offers or concessions.

With strong links to the community our community engagement programme connects the festival with community groups in the locality. We also welcome visitors to Clonmel, giving them an opportunity to extend their stay by offering exciting arts events in this wonderfully historic town.

Supporting professional artists in developing their work and giving them a platform to perform is also a vital role of the festival, offering opportunities for Tipperary, national and international artists.
