Banshee Brass Quintet Concert

Romeo and Juliet Told Through Classical Music (Tchaikovsky, Prokofiev and Bernstein)

Join Banshee Brass Quintet for an enchanting evening as they explore the timeless tale of Romeo and Juliet through three iconic musical interpretations. Guided by Megan Churcher, they will journey from Tchaikovsky’s dramatic overture to Prokofiev’s intense ballet, and finally to Bernstein’s vibrant West Side Story.

Each work, reduced for brass quintet, offers a unique lens into classical music’s enduring fascination with Shakespeare’s tragic romance. Through powerful melodies and insightful narration, this concert unpacks how composers across time have reimagined young love, fate, and conflict—revealing why this story continues to inspire.

* Concession tickets are available for children under 18, full-time students with valid student ID showing an expiry date, and seniors aged 60 and over.
