Encounters with Failure – South Tipperary Arts Centre

This group exhibition curated by Helena Tobin focuses on our ‘encounters with failure’, something we all experience, despite our attempts to avoid it. Artists constantly repurpose failed project proposals, texts, paintings and other discarded materials into new works or ideas, but often there is work that is deemed a failure even before it sees the light of day. This exhibition explores what failure means to different people, and how some artists use it, embrace it and actively seek it out.

The exhibition will include work by: Shirani Bolle, Sean Farrell, Beth Fox, Noel Hensey, Niamh Hughes and Clare Scott.

STAC opening hours: 10am-5pm Tuesday to Saturday

Exhibition runs until 2nd August
