At the launch of the 2026 Clonmel Junction Arts Festival on Friday, 3rd July, renowned podcaster and project mentor Siobhán McHugh shared some warm reflections on the art of podcasting, the power of listening, and the remarkable stories at the heart of The Clonmel Exchanges Podcast Project.
Siobhán spoke about the dedicated work of the local writers who interviewed people who have loved and left Clonmel to build new lives around the world, creating a rich collection of stories about home, memory, belonging and what makes us who we are.
We’re delighted to share her opening words from the launch, celebrating the writers, interviewees and everyone involved in bringing this special project to life.
