Go behind the scenes of this year’s Young Curators exhibition as Artistic Director Rebecca Lenehan, curator and mentor Catherine Marshall, and Young Curators Milo Fahey, Tija Brazyte and Oliwia Kurpan (The Third Guard) share their experiences of the project.

In this video, they discuss the Young Curators Programme, the process of exploring the University of Limerick Art Collection, and the artworks they chose for this year’s exhibition.

From discovering new artists and ideas to making the decisions that shaped the final exhibition, the young curators offer a glimpse into what it means to step into the role of curator.

The Young Curators Programme brings students from Clonmel together with experienced arts professionals (this year’s project being mentored by expert curator, Catherine Marshall), giving them the opportunity to engage deeply with the world of art and develop their own perspectives as curators.

This year’s exhibition draws on the University of Limerick Art Collection, featuring paintings, sculpture and self-portraiture in a range of media.

The Young Curators Programme is kindly supported  by the University of Limerick Art Collection.
